Sept 13,2014 We took a little ride on the 4 wheeler, to interview some trees and found this little thing. Strong enough to hold a grown man, no telling what kind of cool things can be found on the rest of the 25 acres..
The leaves are starting to change. Fall is on its way.

Sept 5-7, 2014 The basement is dug! And just look at the clearing! That will be a yard someday with a house jutting up in back.

Aug 16,2014 The heavy equipment has arrived at our little homestead site. and there in the middle of the top pic is that little dogwood tree. The operator allowed that Perry had told him to stay away form it. Leave it there. How sweet. You see, my Mom always wanted a dogwood in her front yard and my brother Jerry Wayne (RIP) brought in several and never could get one to grow there. So I told Perry about that and he is making sure that little tree stays put. My heart swells just thinking about it.

The weekend before we put the metal roof on, it rained. That was fun, dodging raindrops inside. Hasn't rained while I was there much since, I'm anxious to hear the raindrops on that tin roof.
