April 28,2015 All caught up! finally have all the pics I have been taking on here, I think. I'm going to be sending them in as soon as they are taken from now on so it doesn't take an entire day to update.
Perry has been moving lumber from a friends house all day yesterday and decided to burn some of the dunage this afternoon. he said he had a roaring fire!
I'll be back at the farm tomorrow, I've been laid off a few weeks and spending more time there than at the house in town. Be glad when this place gets sold! if you know of anyone that might be interested, have them get in touch with us.  I don't mind having to come to town, it would just be nice to do it cause I want to instead of needing to.

Hope you like our blog, leave a comment so we know who's looking.
Thanks for your support.

March 20,2015 This is the log arch Perry made. he brought it to the farm and put it to use right away.
This was taken on a walk thru the woods on Sept 13 2014. Perry is sitting on a tree limb. We have many trees with limbs like this, most up higher.
this is the dogwood we call Mae, I have a few more shots but my phone won't download them. maybe later.

The building of the waddle arch. We are planting cucumbers on one side and green beans on the other. Perry cut down several saplings, I hauled them out of the woods. We make a great team, IMO! LOL!

The start of our first garden at the farm! This is April 6 2015. We planted radish, chives, broccoli, kale, red romaine and tomatoes. There will be more to come.

April 2015 Perry is preparing our garden spot
on March 20,2015 Perry bought me an apple tree. we planted it a few days later. and of course, there's Penelope.

March 22,2015 Perry taking the grandkids riding around the property and thru the woods.

March 22,2015 the start of Spring break. 3 of my oldest grandkids, Kendan, Ki"Asia, and Javionte came to visit for a few days. Smores were made and 4 wheel rides were taken.

Perry and friends, working on the Ferguson

we had a blast moving that building, which is where we stay at the farm right now. here's a few more shots I found.
The first one is our little road and our puppy. The one on bottom is a really nice before shot.this one one the bottom is an after of part of the video. Wow! such a difference! and in the bottom one, you can see that dogwood tree.it's almost impossible to see it in the video.

this is a friend/cousin using his heavy equipment to clear a few trees. things move alot faster like this than when we did it with Perry cutting using a chain saw and myself and others carrying them away!
another video of moving the building to the other side of the road.

these videos are from Nov 2014, I think Thanksgiving day. Perry was putting the outhouse in it's temporary location. Taking it off the trailer and moving it with the 4 wheeler.

Jan 25. We moved our building to the other side to more closely reflect where the homestead will be. and so we could install our first solar panels.

Perry building the log arch to help him carry large logs that he cuts down to take to our sawmill to cut into boards.
